Euweng, Chairman of the Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference has just posted the presentation videos of our participants in 2012!

The event, held from Oct. 25 through 29 at the UBC Vancouver campus and Downtown Vancouver, is an annual research conference organized by undergraduates for the promotion and sharing of undergraduate Physics research that draws several hundred students every year to socialize and trade insights into their respective work.

We are proud to have sponsored several BioPhysics Society members to present, and look forward to exciting research from students in the field for 2013!

Join us for the BPSS Year End Party!
Posted by on December 3, 2012
And so the ominous date fast approaches: Dec 21, 2012. None of us know what it'll bring, but this is where they want us to be when it does.

And what's biophysics, the most powerful organization in the world, going to do about Dec 21, 2012? WE WILL FIGHT IT. Together we are armed with knowledge and skills that is unfathomable to men.

But before we wage a war, we must get together one last time, mingle, party, and appreciate each others' companies. The night before Dec 21, we shall host a celebration, a gathering of wits and wisdom.

The brotherhood of biophysics is bound by loyalty and secrecy, but this time, we shall allow outsiders into our creed, for now is a time we need more men than ever. So please, bring as many people as you can gather to this celebration. We will teach you our tenets.

The UBC Biophysics Student Society offers support for both the academic and social aspects of our students.

The field of Biophysics contains many different areas ranging from molecules to proteins to organisms. With such diverse range of topics, the laws of physics that apply to each topic is equally varied. Therefore, Biophysics brings together many different topics of physics to bear into the investigation of biological matter.
